Atlantic City Casinos Get In Halloween Spirit With Costume Contests, Dracula Ballet and Spooky Drinks

Tired of the same old costume party? Atlantic City casinos have more than one way to get spooky for Halloween 2022.

Visitors can look forward to dancing contests and costume contests, giveaways and Halloween-themed drinks being mixed especially for the night. Like previous years,  Atlantic City casinos will be offering a wide-range of events. This will include a haunting selection of music and costume parties,.

Here’s a rundown of some of the Halloween highlights taking place around AC.  Golden Nugget Atlantic City is not included because the property is not hosting any Halloween activities this weekend.

Bally’s AC taking the party to The Yard

The Yard (located in the Bally’s Atlantic City courtyard) will be hosting a Halloween Party on Oct. 29, which means it will be an indoor/outdoor party. Guests can enjoy costume contests, live music by Gypsy Wisdom and DJ Freeze along with beer specials, prizes, and treats.

Masks cannot cover the entire face and visitors must be 21.

There’s also a trick-or-treat sweepstakes with a chance to win $100,000 in cash prizes, 10 winners every 30 minutes from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and 20 winners at 9 p.m. for a total of 140 winners.

Ocean Casino Resort AC Halloween rundown

Joel Corry performs at 10 p.m. Oct. 29 for Ocean Casino Resort’s Halloween Ball at Ovation Hall. The platinum-selling artist is best known for the single “Sorry,” which hit No. 6 on the UK top 10.

Being that the show is taking place Halloween weekend, costumes are allowed. Tickets are $39.99 and available online.

Nola’s Bar & Lounge will be hosting a costume party starting at 8 p.m. where guests will compete for prizes. This includes a $500 Ocean eGift Card and overnight stay. Full details are available on the Ocean Casino Resort website.

How about some Halloween-themed cocktails?

Frida(y) the 13th and Spooky Marie will be available exclusively at Nola’s.

Claridge hosts Halloween with a view

Celebrate Halloween at The VUE –  The Claridge rooftop bar _ with a special guest DJ Funky 8 p.m. to midnight Oct. 28. There will be over $1,000  of prize giveaways and 10 specialty Halloween-themed cocktails ($10 each) and $4 draft beers for the night.  And the celebration continues Saturday night.

 

Atlantic City Ballet at Caesars Atlantic City

The Atlantic City Ballet is doing a Saturday night performance based on Bram Stoker’s 1897 classic gothic horror story. Choreographer Phyllis Papa’s “Dracula” mixes romance and passion with horror and pain. Showtime is 7 p.m. Oct. 29.

This original ballet, complete with sensuous costumes, theatrical sets and a gripping score, has become one of the biggest hits in Atlantic City Ballet’s 36-year history.

Tickets ($48) are available online.

Resorts Atlantic City hosting Latin Halloween party

Latin Night Halloween party with music by DJ Cano, 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Oct. 29 at Margaritaville features Havana Club. There is a $10 cover charge after midnight.

The Pink Pumpkin, which is the Resorts Casino Hotel Halloween pop-up bar, is serving up specialty drinks such as:

  • Witches Brew
  • Mighty Pink
  • Goose Bumps
  • Dracula

More importantly, $8 from every Mighty Pink drink sold will be donated to the Resorts Real Men Wear Pink breast cancer awareness campaign. The Pink Pumpkin Halloween pop-up Bar will remain open until Oct. 31.

Costume party returns to Tropicana Atlantic City

Getting spooky at Tropicana Atlantic City Oct 28-29 means costumes, Halloween cocktails and dancing at Boogie Nights as well as winning prizes.

The costume contest is taking place Saturday at 10 p.m. in The Quarter. Guests will be competing for $2,500 in Visa gift card prizes. The night begins with a “Monster Mash” performance at 9 p.m.

Costume categories include the best, scariest, sexiest and best group costumes. More details are available on the Tropicana AC website.

House of Voodoo at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa

Premier Nightclub at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is hosting a House of Voodoo weekend. Festivities includes DJs and costume contests with cash prizes.

The holiday entertainment begins with Lost Kings on Oct. 28, and Slushii spinning records on Oct. 30. Madds provides music Halloween night.

Showboat Halloween party

The Showboat Hotel is hosting a number of Halloween-themed activities. However, the 21 and partygoers will most likely check out SinAC, “which is being billed as the “biggest and best Halloween party.” It begins at 9 p.m. on Oct. 29 hosted by Jordan Torres and headlined by DJ Caution.

A 1,000 prize also will be awarded to the guest with the hottest costume.

How about a spa day at Harrah’s Resort?

Don’t have a costume or don’t like to dance?

The Spa at Harrah’s offers a special fall relaxation package to “fall in love with self-care.” It  includes a pumpkin souffle facial with clay and pumpkin puree blended to remove toxins from the skin.

Hard Rock Hotel Casino AC Lobby Bar Entertainment

The Lobby Bar at Hard Rock Hotel Casino Atlantic City  is that perfect place to meet up – with or without a Halloween costume. There will be live entertainment all weekend long. The Saturday lineup (no tickets required) includes:

  • DJ Yonah, 4:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m.
  • Suyat Band, 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m.
  • Sensational Soul Cruisers, 10 p.m.-1:30 a.m.
