The New Jersey iGaming market delivered one of its strongest performances ever in March, further cementing the vertical as the state’s top revenue driver.

According to the Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), New Jersey online casinos generated $272.1 million in revenue for the month. That marks the second-highest total in state history, trailing only December’s record-setting performance of $273.2 million.

The result builds on February’s $251.8 million haul and represents a 12% year-over-year growth for the Garden State’s most reliable gambling vertical.

Momentum continues into spring

March’s total reinforces a clear trend: New Jersey online casino revenue has established a consistently high revenue floor in the Garden State.

Monthly totals above $250 million are becoming more common, a sign that the market is not only growing but stabilizing at an elevated level. That consistency has helped offset volatility in other segments, including retail casinos and New Jersey sports betting.

Online slots and table games once again accounted for the overwhelming majority of revenue, while poker remains a small but steady contributor.

Nearing record territory

Although March fell short of December’s all-time high, the gap was relatively narrow – and notable given the absence of holiday-driven play.

Historically, December has benefited from seasonal factors that boost engagement. March’s performance, by contrast, reflects organic demand and continued player activity heading into the spring months.

That suggests the market’s ceiling may continue to rise in 2026.

Competitive landscape holds firm

The top of New Jersey’s iGaming market remains largely unchanged.

FanDuel Casino and DraftKings Casino continue to lead the pack, generating $62.7 million and $48.3 million, respectively.

BetMGM Casino and Borgata Casino maintained strong positions in the next tier, producing $34.9 million and $21.1 million, respectively. While competition for market share persists, the overall hierarchy among operators has shown little movement in recent months.

As the market matures, operators are increasingly focused on retention, product improvements, and promotional efficiency rather than rapid expansion.

iGaming remains dominant

March once again highlighted the growing divide between online and in-person gaming.

Online casino revenue has topped Atlantic City casino revenue for seven straight months, underscoring the long-term shift toward digital platforms. Jane Bokunewicz, faculty director at Stockton University School of Business, said of the industry:

“The convenience of gaming via online channels, especially when weather is not at its best, is likely to continue resulting in growth for internet gaming operations and flat brick-and-mortar performance in the shoulder and off seasons.”

With another total above $270 million, online casinos continue to provide a stable and growing source of tax revenue for the state.

Sky’s the limit

Through the first quarter of 2026, New Jersey’s iGaming industry shows no signs of slowing down.

If current trends hold, the market could challenge additional records later this year – even outside the traditional holiday peak.
