Hard Rock Casino Launches Rakin’ Bacon Sahara Slot For Omnichannel Experience

Sign for Hard Rock Atlantic City for a story on the New Jersey casino and Hard Rock Bet online casino adding Rakin' Bacon Sahara.

Hard Rock, in partnership with American Gaming Systems (AGS), is adding a new slot game that’s going to enhance the gaming experience for online and retail players in New Jersey.

The operator announced last week that Rakin’ Bacon Sahara, a popular slot title, is available exclusively for Hard Rock users.

Hard Rock has been making inroads among NJ online casinos. As of June, Hard Rock Bet NJ ranks sixth among all other platforms in the state.

The online brand is closing in on 2,000 total games for players. Because of its retail presence, the operator is able to cross-launch the same games.

What makes Rakin’ Bacon Sahara launch unique in NJ gambling market

For those Atlantic City casinos that have online casino platforms, they have the luxury of essentially appealing to three different customer bases. Those who play online, those who play at the casino and others who do both.

The release of the Rakin’ Bacon Sahara slot marked the first-ever joint omnichannel launch of a slot simultaneously online and in-person in the Garden State. This type of partnership is exactly what Hard Rock Digital’s SVP of Casino, Grant Williams, had in mind.

“This exclusive omnichannel experience is exactly what we envisioned when we launched Hard Rock Bet in New Jersey last year, and we’re thrilled to be celebrating with our great partners in Atlantic City,” Williams said in a press release.

“AGS games, including the recent launch of our bespoke online slot collaboration, Hard Rockin’ Reels, have been extremely popular on Hard Rock Bet, and we know our players are going to love this newest addition of Rakin’ Bacon Sahara.”

The title is an extension of the original Rakin’ Bacon game, which features Cornsquealius pig ruling the great pyramids with expanding reels, an exciting pick bonus, and four jackpots.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City President, George Goldhoff, also spoke to the omnichannel experience, focusing on the retail side.

“Hard Rock Atlantic City welcomes AGS’ Rakin’ Bacon Sahara to our exciting casino where all the latest and most popular games are offered among our 2,425 slot machines.

“We know our slot customers will love this new game, whether they play at our casino or online at Hard Rock Bet. We are proud to be a leader in the industry offering the most innovative gaming technology and look forward to the rollout of Rakin’ Bacon Sahara.”

Hard Rock Bet NJ approaching 2,000 games

While Hard Rock has been a solid contributor in the New Jersey online casino market, the operator hasn’t slowed down. In fact, its foot is still on the gas.

While Hard Rock announced a partnership with Aristocrat earlier this month, that featured multiple releases including Buffalo, it claimed to have added more than 1,000 games since launching.

Now, the operator is reporting that the new partnership with AGS has put it over 1,900 games. It shouldn’t be too long before Hard Rock crosses the 2,000 games threshold. By that point, it’ll come close to number of machines the land-based casino offers.

Hard Rock is clearly building an empire in the Garden State, which now features a creative, omnichannel experience for customers.

The creativity refers to the Whitney Houston slots the property added to its casino floor last month. The 11-foot tall, 55-inch screens that display vivid graphics and sound effects stand out inside the casino.

Hard Rock Bet produced $9.6 million in online casino revenue in June, its best total of the year. Should the operator continue to add more games, it should hit double-digit revenue totals before the end of the year.
