MetLife Stadium isn’t just one of the NFL’s largest venues. It’s also one of the league’s most effective locations for converting live game-day excitement into new digital users on New Jersey sportsbooks.

According to recent in-stadium engagement data from GeoComply, MetLife Stadium ranks among the top NFL venues for new user acquisition, with hundreds of fans creating sports wagering accounts from inside the stadium on an average game day. The findings highlight how New Jersey’s venue is playing a growing role in how fans engage with sports wagering during games.

Home to both the New York Giants and New York Jets, MetLife Stadium regularly draws crowds exceeding 80,000 fans. That massive audience, combined with New Jersey’s mature and accessible market, makes the venue a prime environment for in-game engagement and new account sign-ups.

In-stadium engagement drives sign-sps

GeoComply’s stadium data show that MetLife Stadium generates an average of roughly 438 new sports app accounts per NFL game, placing it near the top of the league in new user creation. Only Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City graded out higher, due to legal wagering launching in December.

The top five stadiums that sign-up new accounts are as follows:

  • Arrowhead Stadium (Chiefs): 525
  • MetLife Stadium (Jets/Giants): 509
  • Northwest Stadium (Commanders): 478
  • Paycor Stadium (Bengals): 288
  • Gillette Stadium (Patriots): 152

The trend reflects a broader shift in fan behavior, and it certainly helps that MetLife Stadium hosts two different fan bases.

Fans increasingly use mobile devices during games, whether to track stats, share content, or place wagers in real time. In New Jersey, where online betting is well established, that behavior translates directly into measurable user growth.

A year-round engine for New Jersey

While NFL games remain the primary driver, MetLife Stadium’s impact extends well beyond football. The venue regularly hosts major concerts, international soccer matches, and marquee events, bringing new audiences through the gates year-round.

MetLife Stadium is hosting eight World Cup games this summer, including the final on July 19. The games will give fans another chance to open accounts while action takes place on the field.

Each event represents another opportunity for New Jersey to convert live attendance into digital engagement. For the state’s sports wagering ecosystem, MetLife Stadium has become more than just an NFL home … it’s one of the most effective on-site engines for new user acquisition in the league.
