New Jersey and FanDuel Sportsbook were the two big winners in November sports wagering, according to New Jersey gaming regulators.
The state gathered in $28.6 million in tax revenue from New Jersey sports betting last month, which contributed to the $450 million-plus New Jersey has collected in taxes so far in 2025.
FanDuel Sportsbook led all operators in New Jersey in November, reporting $61.4 million in revenue. That pushes the company past the $400 million mark in revenue in New Jersey this year. DraftKings Sportsbook was a distant second at $38.3 million.
Thanks to a hefty hold percentage of 11%, NJ sports wagering operators took in $146 million in revenue in November. That’s the second-highest monthly total ever, trailing only January 2024.
November handle was most in a month this year
Unlike New Jersey online casinos, which saw revenue dip in November, sports wagering continued to surge last month. The popularity of professional and college football, as well as the NBA and NHL seasons in full swing, probably were the key reasons behind the rise.
Total handle for November once again topped $1 billion, the 15th consecutive month over that threshold. The handle in November was $1.28 billion, the highest total this year.
Online wagering is overwhelmingly the choice by NJ bettors: $142 million in revenue came from online sports bets, compared to just $4 million from retail sportsbooks.
