The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement announced that online casinos produced $247.3 million in July revenue, which is an all-time record.

The industry slightly beat out the previous record set in May, which was $246.8 million.

The dog days of summer did not slow New Jersey online casinos in any way as operators experienced a 7.2% month-over-month increase and a 26.6% year-over-year increase.

YTD revenue up 23%

Year-to-date and year-over-year revenue are right in line with each other. At this time last year, online casinos didn’t even clear $200 million.

The $200 million threshold has now become a low bar to clear. The market has done so in every month since September 2024.

Through seven months of 2025, online casinos have amassed $1.63 billion in revenue, a 23.3% year-over-year increase. Last year, the market achieved just $1.33 billion at this time.

The industry appears to be in a terrific position, especially since setting another record in the summer month. Once the sports betting calendar starts filling up in September, there could be even more records broken by the end of the year.

Fanatics makes stellar gains

Fanatics Casino has been on the see-saw as of late. However, July revenue was an all-time best for the operator.

Fanatics produced $12.4 million in earnings, which is up considerably from the $3.6 million it generated in June. Here is how the operator has fared over the last four months, including July:

  • April: $7.4 million
  • May: $6.2 million
  • June: $3.6 million
  • July: $12.4 million

Fanatics has been all over the map thus far in 2024. However, it finished less than $1 million behind Hard Rock Bet in July. Should it gain some consistency, it could pass the seasoned operator.

DraftKings narrows deficit

Back in June, DraftKings finished nearly $10 million behind FanDuel, which has been lapping the field as of late.

However, DraftKings cut into FanDuel in July, finishing less than $4 million behind the market leader.

FanDuel still has a solid hold of the market, and produced $52.1 million in revenue last month to DraftKings’ $48.4 million. DraftKings, though, appears to be closing the gap. August is going to be a big litmus test for both operators.
