Ocean Casino Resort is investing $50 million into upgrading its hotel and casino this year. The result is going to be redesigned hotel rooms, new restaurants, a bigger gaming floor, and more entertainment options for guests. These additions are part of a seven-year, $270 million redevelopment plan the property invested in since taking over in 2018. The biggest change to the casino itself will be the doubling of the area allocated to “Asian gaming,” meaning games popular with that demographic, like baccarat.

Ocean Casino has quickly become a top destination among Atlantic City casinos. Bill Callahan, General Manager for Ocean Casino Resort, said in a statement:

“Ocean continues to invest in property enhancements that enable us to provide an unmatched guest experience not only in Atlantic City, but nationwide. ”

“We are introducing five highly anticipated dining concepts that our customers have been asking for. This year also marks an exciting milestone as we complete the entire hotel with fully renovated guest rooms and suites.”

Ocean Casino recently changed the sign of its iconic logo on the property, which served as another piece to the rebrand.

Ocean’s biggest investment includes guest rooms, dining and Asian gaming

Ocean Casino is using half of the investment of 2025 to finish redesigning 1,860 guest rooms and suites, which are also known as Blu Rooms. The property is set to finish the project this year.

The Blu Rooms and Suits are inspired by colors and patterns of the shoreline. The rooms also consist of beach flooring and wallcoverings to create the calm beach atmosphere.

Each room contains a state-of-the-art bathroom, with marble flooring, a double vanity, and an over-sized shower. The new suits offer upscale features such as dining area, wet bar, and generous lounge seating for guests to host small gatherings.

In addition, Ocean is adding two new Stephen Starr restaurants, which include Americana and French cuisines. LaScala’s Fire, a popular Philadelphia and South Jersey restaurant, is also coming to the property. It is an Italian American establishment with gourmet pizzas, pastas, chicken parm and salmon.

The investment of the three restaurants cost $5 million, all of which are slated to open in the early summer.

Just in time for the summer, Ocean is doubling the size of its Asian gaming offerings. The area will increase to 8,000 square feet (from 4,000) and supply 32 gaming tables, including Mini Baccarat and Pai Gow Poker.

Other entertainment coming to Ocean

The $50 million investment includes plenty of other entertainment, too. Guests at Ocean will be able to play mini golf, which also consists of a bar. It is an 8,000 square-foot, two-story space with a state-of-the-art mini golf course. It will also include a hologram of 12-foot Great White Shark towering over the vibrant main bar, located next to LaScala’s Fire.

The casino is also opening Sweetheart Coast, a fashionable clothing boutique for women, owned by Jersey Shore star Samantha Giancola, also known as Sammi Sweetheart.

Additional food options include quick eats High Steaks, which serves Wagyu cheesesteak and Philly Cheesesteaks. Hand-crafted smoothies and acai bowls are also going to be available, courtesy of Blend.

There’s also going to be more beach-front fun because of the recent completion of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers’ $92.6 million sand project.
